San Antonio may not be one of the most popular places to visit in Texas, but it does get its fair share of visitors and has plenty to offer those that visit. The South Texas setting makes the weather wonderful for day and night time activities. Nightlife is all around for the evening lover. Aside from all that, the city makes room for the family pleasures as well.
It may seem strange to go on vacation and see a film, but that is one of San Antonio's largest attractions. The city has some of the biggest and most modern movie theaters and film venues in the country and is sure to delight everyone. There are tons of movie options for all age groups, and the facilities are absolutely amazing.
Shopping is also very common in San Antonio. There are multitudes of specialty shops and artisan dens around the city as well as in San Marcos. If shopping isn't your favorite activity, or if you've spent enough money for the day, take a walk down River Walk and enjoy the view.
You can't go to San Antonio without coming to the Alamo. Whether you're a history buff or not, the little mission has an awe that will inspire all who stop by. There are hundreds of stories for these walls to tell, and most can be gathered just by stopping and listening.
For the arts, San Antonio can't be beat, with its wealth of musicians, artists, and museums. The cafés and live music that populate the city add a level of flair that just makes the experience that much more exciting. On top of all of that, there are two amusement parks and water parks near.
