Finally, don't forget that the state is replete with fresh-water lakes and has an oceanfront that stretches the entire east side of the Gulf of Mexico. Sunbathing, beach activities, fun for the kids, watersports, excursions, and boating lessons are all available somewhere along the Texas shoreline. From Galveston to Corpus Christi, the beaches are pristine and ready to welcome visitors.
