The Sixth Floor Museum and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza, commemorating the legacy of President John F. Kennedy, offer visitors a unique look at history. The Sixth Floor Museum, which chronicles JFK's assassination, is located in the former Texas School Book Depository building in Dealey Plaza. The nearby JFK Memorial, dedicated on June 24, 1970, was envisioned by American architect Phillip Johnson as an open tomb and provides a place for visitors to quietly reflect and react.
