Golf - Frisco, Texas
Golfers on vacation really like absolutely nothing more than to have a variety of courses available to them within arm's reach. Enjoying different courses in a different part of the country offers golfers both bragging rights and discussion when it comes to comparing courses with their friends and acquaintances. Frisco, Texas, just next door to Dallas, is home to such a variety of courses, many quite impressive. A stay in the region affords the avid duffer access to all of these. Some of the more notable courses are listed here.
The Westin Stonebriar is an 18-hole championship course designed by one of the finest golfers in the country. The setting is native grasses surrounded by rolling hills. The bunkers are very challenging, and water hazards difficult|. The course will challenge golfers at all levels of play, but is not for the weak -of-heart.
Plantation Golf Club is more accommodating to all levels of golfers, and is a preferred landing spot for locals. It too has challenging play, but not really the same level of intensity as Stonebriar, making for a far more stress-free and pleasurable golfing experience. The rows of trees make a wonderful setting, trimmed by Bermuda grass, and though playable, the greens are as challenging as a golfer will find on any course. It is a "must-play" for every golfer located in the region.
Lastly, the Trails of Frisco Golf Club provides fantastic play for those who can get on the course. The Frisco Golf Club is semi-private, so not |everybody can play there, but those that get the chance will find a 7000 yard long, par 71 course. Paired with wetlands, the course is a challenge from green to green, but also supplies a quiet escape from the city's speed and turmoil, even although it is located in the Metroplex.
