Nicaraguan Tourism
As a destination, Nicaragua remains a rather new to travelers, and this has developed a wonderful occasion for environmentalists and nature lovers to explore the countryside easily without the effect of hordes of travelers. The golden-white beaches of the Caribbean Ocean in the East and the gold sand beaches of the Pacific Ocean in the West, the unspoiled forests and tropical jungles that remain untouched, and the rugged beauty of volcanic mountains and crater lakes make this nation a virtual gold mine of natural grandeur. Needless to say, the government, and now more travelers, are beginning to uncover its unspoiled grandeur too.
With Costa Rica on its southern border, Nicaragua has been able to stay under the radar for travel spots. Now, though, as Costa Rica turns out to be more and more flooded with tourists, more are looking for the peace and discreetness they used to love there, and have found Nicaragua right nearby. The native people greet travelers with open arms, and the scenery and topography have not been destroyed by multistory hotels and loud casino signs.
The government of Nicaragua has begun to grasp the advantage of the undeveloped state of their nation, and now energetically endorse it to the world as an ecotourism goldmine. Outdoor undertakings like hiking, biking, climbing, and camping have started in a major way at this point, and the substructure that's been set in motion to assist those tourists is in spite of everything not large in scale or design, retaining the "undiscovered country" theme.
