Day 1:
Arrive and transfer to Granada
Upon arrival, your group will exit through customs and we’ll whisk you away to Granada. Granada is the most famous destination inside Nicaragua, with visitors coming from around the world to enjoy its timeless beauty and quiet charm. Granada is a great jumping off point for various activities. Granada is one of Latin America's most beautiful Spanish colonial cities in Central America. No visit to Granada is complete without a tour of the city’s beautiful historic center and what better way than in a traditional horse-drawn carriage. On this privately guided walking/carriage tour you will explore the San Francisco Church and neighboring San Francisco Convent built in 1529. The Convent is now a museum and home to an impressive collection of pre-Columbian art. We’ll visit the beautiful Merced Church where you will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the bell tower and take in spectacular views of the city, Lake Nicaragua, and Volcán Mombacho. We’ll also stop at La Polvora Fortress, learn the history of the old fortress and walk through its beautiful courtyard. We’ll finish your tour in the oldest part of the city where you will visit the Xalteva Church and the old city walls. Throughout the excursion your guide will provide you with an informative and unique perspective of this beloved colonial city. Overnight Hotel La Bocona (D)
Day 2:
Mombacho Volcano or Isletas Day tour
Nearby Mombacho Volcano sits in a beautiful cloud forest and is home to a wide variety of vegetation and wildlife. We’ll drive to the top (1150 meters) of the volcano in a 4x4 vehicle and after a quick trip to the scientific station, explore this impressive volcano on a guided walk. The well-kept Crater Trail (1.5 km) leads you around the crater through dense cloud forest. We’ll pass by several fumaroles and enjoy spectacular views overlooking Granada, Las Isletas, Laguna de Apoyo and the Masaya Volcano. Zip through the treetops as you go from platform to platform ranging in height from 10 to 100 feet above the canopy floor. Early evening transfer to Pelican Eyes Resort (B).
DAY 2-7:
Beaches of San Juan Del Sur
We arrive to Pelican Eyes Resort in the early evening, just in time to have dinner. Pelican Eyes offers a stunning hillside location and panoramic views of San Juan del Sur and the ocean beyond. The infinity pools, spacious accommodations, romantically lush gardens, wonderful restaurants, open air bars await you, Enjoy the resorts one-of-a-kind San Juan Del Sur coastline sailing adventure are a unique experience. Select from nay options to explore, surf, hike and enjoy the San Juan Del Sur area. (B)
Day 6-8:
Masaya & Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Eco Lodge
After breakfast at the villa, we transfer you to Hacienda Puerta de Cielo Eco Lodge Take time to explore the surrounding oasis of the lodge. Each day, the Hacienda guide will discuss each days selected adventure. Enjoy your afternoon on each days chosen adventure and return to the lodge for an awesome dinner. Day 8:
Transfer to Managua Airport
Transfer to airport for international flight home or extend your visit with our recommended add on trips.
