Trip Overview:
This tour can begin in Costa Rica either from Liberia or from San Jose. Travel by land or air to connect into Nicaragua. We have selected the route from San Jose via La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano. From La Fortuna, we journey past Cano Negro and to the city of Los Chiles where we cross the border, then board our boat shuttle to San Carlos. Continue on lake Nicaragua to Granada. Overnight and continue to Hacienda Puerta Del Cielo Eco Lodge for a few days of exploring Masaya and its culture.

Day 2-4:
Enjoy Arenal Volcano
Explore the Arenal Volcano and use the Arenal Observatory lodge as your base lodge for activities, optional tours available - Hot Springs, Zip LInes, Canyoning

Day 4:
Crossing Border to Nicaragua
Early am pick up from our guide 715am. Transfer to Los Chiles - Nicaragua about 1.5 hrs. Board our boat shuttle to cruise the Rio San Juan to arrive into San Carlos. From San Carlos, board the Granada ferry and cruise 5 hours to Granada enjoying the Lake. Overnight Hotel La Bocona (L)

Day 5:
Explore Granada
Free day to Explore Granada. 4 pm transfer to Puerta Del Cielo Eco lodge
in the Masaya area. (L,D)

Day 6-8:
Masaya & Catarina
Enjoy the next two days at Puerta Del Cielo - Enjoy the Masaya markets, Catarina
and Lake Apoyo. Zip line Mombacho Volcano or hike and explore the active Masaya Volcano(B)

Day 9:
Depart Managua to San Jose or Liberia
Transfer to Managua airport for return flight to San Jose or Liberia Costa Rica
You may also opt to return home via Managua. (B)
