Day 1:
Arrive San Jose
Arrival to the Juan Santamaria Airport. A representative from Costa Rican Trails will meet you at the airport to take you to the Fleur de Lys Hotel, located in down town San Jose.
Day 2:
Pacuare Whitewater Rafting - Arenal
Today our adventure starts early morning to reach the Pacuare River for a rafting trip. This river has been officially declared a Wild and Scenic River, and offers some of the finest white water in Latin America, winding deep inside of one of Costa Rica's most impressive rainforests. Breakfast on route and lunch is served along the river. After this tour, our representative will transfer you under shuttle bus basis to the Arenal area one of the most active volcanoes of the world, cloud forests, a lake world-famous for windsurfing and an incredibly diverse population of wildlife is what you will find in this area.
Overnight at Arenal Paraiso, Standard room. Breakfast included.
Day 3:
Arenal Volcano
A late afternoon visit to the trails of El Silencio and the volcanic thermal mineral pools at Tabacón Hot Springs. Arenal Volcano is breathtaking after dark when its thundering explosions and bursts of glowing rock light the night sky. Entrance fees to Tabacon and Dinner is not included on this tour. Overnight at Arenal Paraiso, standard rooms. Breakfast included
Day 4:
Arenal - Monteverde Cloud Forest
Morning departure to the Arenal Lake where a boat will be waiting for you to provide a shuttle service. On the other side of the lake, a bus will take you on gravel road to reach Monteverde. Monteverde was founded about 40 years ago by a small group of conservation-minded Quakers who were looking for a peaceful place to live. Its Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most outstanding wild life sanctuaries in the tropics. Check in at Hotel Belmar or similar.
Overnight at Hotel Belmar, standard room in Main Building. Breakfast included.
Day 5:
Extreme Monteverde Zip Line Network
This will be the highlight of the tour - morning pickup. 14 cables, of which 4 are extremely long: 1-1410 ft, 2-1275 ft, 3-1800 ft, 4-2250 ft. Cables have an approximate height of 225 ft and 450ft, The Tarzan Swing, Rappel (90ft), only short hikes, 21 platforms. Total walking distance of 2.8 Km., tour duration 3 hours. Optional Waterfall rapeling and Horseback riding. Overnight at Hotel Belmar, standard room in Main Building. Breakfast included.
Day 6:
Monteverde - Jaco Beach
After breakfast you will depart on shuttle bus towards the Central Pacific Coast to Jaco Beach Check in at Best Western Jaco Beach or similar. The afternoon is free to explore the surroundings and the beach. Take in a surf lesson or go kayaking. Overnight at Jaco Beach Best Western - standard rooms. Breakfast included.
Day 7:
Jaco Beach - Free Day
Enjoy Jaco Beach and select from many optional tours
Overnight at Jaco Beach Best Western standard room. Breakfast included.
Day 8:
Jaco Beach - San Jose
Jaco Beach - San Jose - Departure
Private transfer back to San Jose, either to the airport or extend your stay in Costa Rica.
