Moderate or very little hiking experience required. You must be in good physical shape considering the amount of daily hiking that is required and not be afraid of high altitudes.
Rafting is Class III and IV and the surfing lesson if for beginners. The adventure is for beginners.

DAY 1:
Upon arrival, passengers will be met by a representative of Adventure Expeditions at airport, to then be directed to their private vehicle that will transfer them to their hotel.

DAY 2:
Lima (Surfing Lessons + City Tour):
Early in the morning, after a repairing breakfast, passengers will be transferred to the Miraflores Beaches. Upon arrival to chosen beach (beach will be chosen upon surfing conditions), passengers will meet their surfing instructors, who will then provide them with the proper gear for surfing, which include: Wetsuit, leash, soft- surfboard. Then instructors will proceed to provide a Theory lesson and a safety briefing before starting some stretching, to then get into the water. Surfing lesson will last about 1:30hrs. After surfing, passengers will be directed to their private vehicle that will take them on a city tour of the main attractions in Lima, including Lima’s down Town, cathedral, catacombs and main districts, to finally return to Miraflores for Lunch at a restaurant in Larco Mar Mall. Then passengers will be transferred back to their hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight Casa Andina Centro (L)

DAY 3:
Lima / Cusco:
(City Tour of Cusco and Surrounding main archaeological sites):
Morning transfer to Lima’s airport in order to board flight to Cusco. Upon arrival to Cusco, passengers will be met by our tour representative who will direct them to their private vehicle that will transfer them to their hotel in Cusco. Free morning to rest and acclimatize to high altitude (10,496ft). In the afternoon passengers will be met by their guide at their hotel and be directed to their private vehicle that will take them to enjoy a lovely city tour of Cusco and its surrounding archaeological sites. Tour will start with the main Plaza, its cathedral to then move on to the main Inca temple of Koricancha, to then move on to Cusco’s outskirts and visit Sacsayhuaman, kenko, Pukapukara and Tampumachay. This tour may take about 4:00 hrs. Dinner will be served at Incanto restaurant located in Cusco’s main plaza. Overnight Casa Andina Classic Cusco Plaza (D)

DAY 4:
Cusco / Sacred Valley:
(River Rafting + Native Tree Project + Camping Overnight)

After breakfast, we will have a short hike around the community, where we will have the opportunity to observe people while doing their daily activities and even visit one of the family houses in order to know how this people live and share with nature. We will then be transferred to our private river put-in located in Pachar, from where we will start our River rafting adventure in the Sacred river of the Incas. Here you will receive your rafting equipment and a safety briefing. (Changing facilities are available). After a brief practice on the flat parts of the river, we will start our journey on easy waters, while we admire the spectacular views of the mountains and archaeological remains, continuing towards Ollantaytambo and its amazing Inca terraces, at the time we experience class II and III rapids, to finish with “El Resbaladero” (The Slide), a strong class III rapid that includes waves and small whirlpools. We will then have lunch in a traditional restaurant located on the riverside and owned by the local community. This is a great chance to enjoy the Andean cuisine while supporting community projects. After Lunch the group will be directed to the local reforestation project located just 1,000 ft away from restaurant. Here each individual of the group will have the chance to plant a Native Tree and contribute with a UNITED NATIONS project named “1plant for the planet” which seeks to plant 1 native Tree per human being. After this, we will hike for about 40 minutes to our campsite, located at 9,840 ft above sea level. Hot showers and toilets are available. A nice BBQ will pamper participants. After dinner we can make a bonfire and tell stories. Overnight at campsite. (L/D)

DAY 5:
Sacred Valley (Native Tree Project):

This day participants will do some labour work at the reforestation area. They will build the fence that is needed to secure reforestation area, will also help to finish digging the water store pool and restoring the Green House, where seedlings grow before being planted. A boxed Lunch will be provided in between working hours. This activity will take about 7 hours and participants will be helped by the young people of the community, who are in charge of maintenance and management of the reforestation project. After this activity, participants will hike once again to campsite where dinner will be served. After dinner, passengers will take part in a “Pacha Mama” Ceremony in worship to Mother Earth, which will be held by a “Pako” an Andean Shaman, in order to thank Mother Earth for all the Good things, protection she provides us and for how lucky we are to have what we have. DAY 6:
Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu:
(Full Day Guided visit of Machu Picchu)

Morning Transfer from campsite to Ollantaytambo train station, in order to board our train that will take us to Machu Picchu. For most of you the main reason you are here is to fulfil the childhood dream of visiting the citadel of Machu Picchu. We will take the Vistadome train, which allows us to enjoy spectacular views on the way to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, we will have a guided tour of Machu Picchu, rich in information and theories on its history. After visiting Machu Picchu, we will, take our tourist bus back to Aguas Calientes, where we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner will be served at Indio Feliz Restaurant. Overnight in Aguas Calientes. Hatuchaytower Hotel. (B/L/D)

DAY 7:
Machu Picchu / Santa Teresa
(Zip line + Local Farm + camping overnight)

Free Morning to explore the town of Aguas Calientes or juts buy some souvenirs. At Mid Day, passengers will board the Local train that will take us to Santa Teresa, a town hidden in the Amazon cloud forest just 15 km from Machu Picchu. Upon arrival to a private transfer will be waiting for us in order to transfer us to Santa Teresa Campsite. After leaving our things, we will start a 40 minutes hike to the start of the Zip Line. Here passengers will receive a safety briefing before putting on their helmet, gloves and harness, which is then hanged by a pole to an iron cable, and then after the permission of their guide, on they go. At the end passengers will be received at the end of the Zip line. This adrenaline pumping ride consists of 6 sections of zipline totalling nearly 2.5 kilometres of high wire. Criss-crossing the valley, you begin the ride about 820 ft above the valley floor and finish at the bottom. After this adrenaline activity, passengers will hike back to campsite. A Boxed Lunch will be provided. Aftre a short rest, we will hike to a local farm where we will learn about the local crops they grow in this area. After this visit, passengers will return back to campsite for a nice BBQ dinner. Overnight at campsite. (BL/D)

DAY 8:
Santa Teresa (Hike to Lucmabamba) / Aguas Calientes / Cusco

After an early breakfast, passengers will be transferred in private vehicle for about 30 min to the start point of a trek to Lucmabamba, from where few people in the world enjoy a priviledge view of Machu Picchu. The trek starts with a steady ascend up to the Mirador located at 6,600 ft above see level, from where we will have a spactacular view of the Lost city of the Icas, Machu Picchu. Here we will rest, while we enjoy our boxed lunch. We then continue our trek descending to Aobamba and onto the Hidroelectric train station, from where we will board the local trail that will take us back to Aguas Calientes. At Aguas Calientes, we go a pick our luggage from the hotel and then return to train statation to get our train back to Cusco, where we will arrive at night. DAY 9:
Cusco / Pumacanchis/Raqchi (Home stay at Raqchi)

Morning departure from hotel towards raqchi. On the way we will stop at Pumacanchi and its lovely 4 Lagoon Circuit, where we will enjoy a mountain bike ride surrounding the 1 ofts lagoons. After this activity, we will continue on to Raqchi, a small Andean community, an entrepreneur Andean community, where settlers have organized guestrooms in their courtyards to accommodate tourists: a unique, in-depth cultural experience with the local population. As direct descendants of the Incas, they have many reasons to be proud of Raqchi, a fantastic three-story temple honoring the God Wiracocha, creator of the universe according to Pre-Inca and Inca mythology is the focal point of this village. Upon arrival, we will get settled at our family houses where we will enjoy a traditional Andean Lunch. After lunch we will visit the remains of the Wiracocha Temple. Then everyone will head to their houses and will get ready for a great dinner. This will be accompanied by traditional music and dances, visitors will be invited to take part. Home Stay Raqchi. Overnight (B/L/D).

DAY 10:
Raqchi / Cusco:
After an early breakfast with your host family. After breakfast, we will meet our private vehicle that will transfer us to our hotel in Cusco. Free day to explore the city. Lunch and dinner on your own. Overnight Casa Andina Cusco Classic (B)

DAY 11:
Cusco / Return Flight to Lima - Depart or overnight
Transfer from hotel to Cusco’s airport, in order to board flight back to Lima. Short transit before departing back home. Lunch and dinner on your own. (B)
