Lastly, don't forget that the state is filled with fresh-water lakes and has an oceanfront that stretches the total east side of the Gulf of Mexico. Sunbathing, beach activities, fun for the kids, watersports, excursions, and boating lessons are all available somewhere along the Texas coastline. From Galveston to Corpus Christi, the beaches are spotless and ready to welcome visitors.
